Green Mountain Fire Tower is located on Green Mt. in Effingham NH, with the summit being 1,857 feet in elevation. The fire tower is a 60 foot tall steel fire tower, originally opening in 1922, and was actually moved from Cedar Mt. in Maine, to it's new home in New Hampshire. In 1977 the height was decreased by 8 feet for safety reasons.
